Your chiropractic evaluation begins with the completion of a health history form. Previous injuries, chronic conditions and present conditions are discussed at this time. During this consultation, Dr. Leefer will listen to the concerns you have about your health.

Following a thorough case history, a physical examination measuring spinal motion, nerve reflexes, muscle strength and balance, as well as selected orthopedic tests, is administered. If necessary, spinal x-rays are taken in a standing position to show the spine in its natural weight bearing state. Today's high-tech equipment and ultra-sensitive films minimize exposure to radiation.

After studying the results of the examination and x-rays, Dr. Leefer will meet with you again to explain the findings. If it is determined that chiropractic care will benefit you, a chiropractic treatment plan will be outlined. Recognizing that chiropractic is not a "cure all", Dr. Leefer will refer you to another medical specialist or for additional diagnostic tests when warranted.
